Signature Grand Dishes: Wedding Regrets

Even brides with fairytale weddings can pinpoint few things they wish they could have changed. Even worse, many brides an create an entire check list of things. This list, however, is a vital tool for brides that are planning an upcoming women. Here are a few of the reoccurring themes of brides’ do-over wish lists:

Photography: In the survey, not one bride complained that they ended up with too many photos. On the contrary, they all complained that there weren't ENOUGH photos. Moral of the story? Choose your photographer wisely, and don’t skimp. If you have to, trim your budget in other areas to ensure that you have sufficient funds for a talented, reputable photographer.

Size of Guest List: Think bigger is better? Guess again. Not one bride lamented over not having a larger bash. For brides that did have large weddings, almost all of them wished they’d pared down their guest lists in favor of a more intimate ceremony and reception.

Budget: While most brides felt they did a great job staying on budget, many felt remorse over not spending commensurate with their areas of importance. Ranking high on the “good use of money list” was the ceremony/reception venue, photographs, and videography, while designer wedding gowns, top-shelf alcohol, custom linens, and lavish cocktail hours were sources of expensive regret.
